Sporting Background
I started my sporting career as an athlete in the British Sailing Team. I spent several years travelling the world competing, with success including medals at U23 European and World Championships. After retiring to focus on my Physiotherapy career I soon realised I needed to take up a new sport. With a good level of fitness from my sailing I initially competed at Duathlon, winning the European and then World Age Group Championships. Having ticked off these titles I decided to switch my focus to triathlon and have gradually worked my way up the distances. In 2019 I completed my first Ironman and decided that this was my preferred distance. In 2021 I won my Age Group with top 5 amateur finishes in Ironman Lanzarote and Mallorca and a 2nd place overall in Outlaw X. At the 2021 Ironman World Championship in Utah I came 3rd in Age Group and 5th overall amateur. I raced at Kona in 2022 and 2023, including a top 20% AG finish, and I was the overall female winner at Venice 70.3 2023.
Professional Career
I qualified as a Physiotherapist from Southampton University in 2013. I then studied a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Rehabilitation to specialise in Sports Physiotherapy. I have spent the past few years working for the military, helping injured servicepersons recover from injuries they sustain during military service and sport. I am a Level 4 qualified Nutrition Coach and my work includes leading lectures and 1-1 sessions with injured servicepersons, educating them about nutrition for injury recovery, body composition optimisation and sports performance. I also deliver bespoke nutrition talks to clubs and teams to target specific areas of interest.
Having coached myself to get to an elite level, I have extensive personal experience of how to plan training around a busy lifestyle. Many years of elite sport combined with my professional qualifications place me in an ideal position to understand and structure training programmes, in a way which improves performance whilst optimising overall health. I specialise in helping athletes return to full training after injury, and come back feeling stronger than ever.
